Advanced physiotherapy techniques

Techniques we use when they provide useful diagnostic information or a clear benefit for treatment.

Main techniques

How we work depending on the tissue and case

Musculoskeletal ultrasound

La ecografía musculoesquelética ayuda a valorar tendón, músculo, bursa o ligamento cuando la exploración clínica necesita más precisión.

When it is used: Cuando puede aclarar qué tejido está implicado o guiar una técnica invasiva.

EPI: Percutaneous Intratissue Electrolysis

Técnica invasiva ecoguiada para tratar tendinopatías mediante corriente galvánica aplicada directamente sobre el tejido lesionado.

When it is used: En tendinopatías crónicas o subagudas cuando el tejido necesita un estímulo específico.

Percutaneous neuromodulation

Estimulación ecoguiada de nervios periféricos para modular dolor, tono y respuesta muscular.

When it is used: Cuando hay componente irritativo, dolor persistente o alteración de control muscular.

Ultrasound-guided dry needling

Punción seca aplicada con apoyo ecográfico para trabajar musculatura profunda con mayor precisión.

When it is used: En contracturas profundas, dolor miofascial o musculatura difícil de localizar con seguridad.

Hands-on treatment

Other complementary techniques

Manual therapy

Hands-on treatment to address pain, mobility and muscle tone when it is part of a broader plan.

Therapeutic exercise

Prescribed exercises to progressively recover tolerance, control and strength.

Sports rehabilitation

Sports rehabilitation

Return to training and competition with a progressive plan

Sports rehabilitation is the phase between “it no longer hurts” and “I can train as before”. We work on it through load progression, motor control, sport-specific movements and prescribed exercises according to the discipline and the patient’s stage. It is part of programmes for tendon injuries, muscle injuries, sprains and post-surgery recovery; it can also continue after discharge for athletes who need a safer return to activity.

We have particular experience with runners, trail runners, CrossFit athletes, sailing athletes and yoga practitioners.

Load progression

Gradual workload adjustment to recover tolerance without unnecessary jumps.

Motor control and sport-specific movement

Work focused on the movement pattern you need to recover according to your activity.

Continuity after clinical discharge

Support for athletes who need a progressive return to training.
